RANKING 2018

World’s most valuable brand corporations 2018:

US-tech brand corporations most valuable: 1. Apple, 2. Google, 3. Microsoft, Europe’s most valuable brand corporation LVMH Group ranks No.6 worldwide, China in the fast lane gaining +63,8%.

 

The GLOBAL TOP 100 BRAND CORPORATIONS RANKING by European Brand Institute Europe’s independent brand & patent valuation and strategy experts, examined more than 3.000 brand corporations and their brands in 16 industries, according to the latest ISO valuation standards with comparisons of Europe, America and Asia.

 

Global

According to European Brand Institute GLOBAL TOP 100 Brand Corporations Ranking, Apple remains the world’s most valuable brand corporation at EUR 153.315 bn (+6%), followed by Google EUR 119.209 bn (+10,5%) and Microsoft EUR 88.243 bn (+14,8%). Online-Retailer Amazon moved up two places to fourth (EUR 81.549 bn / +18,5%). Facebook increased its brand value by +30% (EUR 71.166 bn), climbing up to global TOP 5 within 5 years.

  

 

Europe

French LVMH Group remains Europe’s most valuable brand corporation, representing brand values of EUR 70.776 bn (+41,6% brand value growth/ global rank 6), followed by Belgian AB Inbev EUR 41.877 bn (+0,5%/ global rank 18) and Swiss No.1 Nestlé EUR 38.206 bn (+1,2%/ global rank 20). German leading brand corporation Volkswagen Group at EUR 25.375 bn (+8,6%/ global rank 37) overtaking Deutsche Telekom worth EUR 25.217 bn (+0,5%/ global rank 38). Austria’s Red Bull (EUR 15,391 bn/ +0,9%) holds global rank 78.

 

 

 

Growth

GLOBAL TOP 100 show a brand value growth of +7%. 84% of GLOBAL TOP 100 total brand value derives from 5 countries: USA, Germany, U.K., France and China. China’s brand corporations growing the fastest (+63,8%) whereas Europeans grow by +8,2% and Americans could barely grow (+0,7%) at a very high level. 

 

 

 

 

 

Continents

US brand corporations are dominating with 48 (-1) amongst TOP 100 representing a value share of 58.50%, Europe represents 34 (0) (value share 24,72%) with Germans leading, whilst Asia catches up with 18 (+1) (value share 16,78%).

 

 

Industry leaders

The global brand landscape is dominated by 5 industries in terms of quantity of brands and total brand value: 1. IT & Technology (EUR 643.054 bn), 2. Consumer Goods (EUR 563.189 bn), 3. Financial Services (EUR 441.394 bn), 4. Telco (EUR 326.427 bn), 5. Retail (EUR 241.339 bn).

Das GLOBAL TOP 100 BRAND CORPORATIONS RANKING des European Brand Institutes – Europas unabhängigen Experten für  Marken- und Patentbewertung hat mehr als 3.000 Markenunternehmen und deren Marken in 16 Branchen im Vergleich Europa, Amerika und Asien, basierend auf aktuellsten ISO Standards analysiert.

 

Global      

Laut European Brand Institute GLOBAL TOP 100 Brand Corporations Ranking, ist Apple das wertvollste Markenunternehmen der Welt mit einem Markenwert von EUR 153,315 Mrd. (+6%), gefolgt von Google EUR 119,209 Mrd. (+10,5%) und Microsoft EUR 88,243 Mrd. (+14,8%). Online-Retailer Amazon rückt um 2 Plätze auf Rang 4 vor (EUR 81,549 Mrd./ +18,5%). Facebook konnte seinen Markenwert erneut um +30% (EUR 71,166 Mrd.) steigern und innerhalb von 5 Jahren in die TOP 5 aufsteigen. 

 

Europe

Europas wertvollstes Markenunternehmen LVMH Group rangiert erstmals mit einem Markenwert von EUR 70,776 Mrd. und +41,6% Markenwertwachstum auf Platz 6 weltweit. Die belgische AB Inbev Group belegt mit EUR 41,877 Mrd. (+0,5%/ Platz 18) den zweiten Rang in Europa, gefolgt vom Schweizer Spitzenreiter Nestlé Group EUR 38,206 Mrd. (+1,2%/ Platz 20). Deutschlands führendes Markenunternehmen Volkswagen Group konnte mit EUR 25,375 Mrd. Markenwert (+8,6%/Platz 37) die Pole Position zurück erobern, knapp gefolgt von  Deutsche Telekom  mit EUR 25,217 Mrd. (+0,5%/Platz 38). Österreichs Red Bull (EUR 15,391 Mrd./ +0,9%) nimmt Platz 78 weltweit ein. 

 

Wachstum

Gerhard Hrebicek, Präsident European Brand Institute: “Die GLOBAL TOP 100 verzeichnen ein Markenwertwachstum von +7% gegenüber dem Vorjahr, wobei 84% der Markenwerte von Markenunternehmen in den 5 Ländern USA, Deutschland, U.K., Frankreich und China generiert werden. Chinas Markenunternehmen legen am meisten zu (+63,8%), während europäische eine Steigerung von +8,2%  erzielen und amerikanische auf sehr hohem Niveau kaum noch zulegen konnten (+0,7%).”

 

Kontinente

US-Markenunternehmen dominieren mit 48 (-1) innerhalb der TOP 100 und einem Markenwertanteil von 58.50%. Europa ist mit 34 (0) (Markenwertanteil 24,72%) vertreten, wobei deutsche Markenunternehmen überwiegen. Asien setzt rasantes Wachstum mit 18 (+1) Markenunternehmen (Markenwertanteil 16,78%) fort.

European Golf Brand Study II - Destinations

Das European Brand Institute und Perfect Eagle präsentieren in Teil 2 der European Golf Brand Study erstmals die wertvollsten Golfdestinationsmarken!

 

Im Rahmen einer anonymisierten online Umfrage wurden 59 Golfdestinations nach den 8 Elementen der Marken-Evaluierung nach ISO 20671 bewertet. Im Zeitraum von 15. Juli bis 15. August 2018 nahmen 200 GolferInnen in der gesamten D-A-CH Region an der Umfrage teil.

Die Ergebnisse werden im Brand Strength Score und dem Brand Value Rating veranschaulicht.

The European Brand Institute and Perfect Eagle present the most valuable golf destination brands for the first time in Part 2 of the European Golf Brand Study!

 

In an anonymous online survey, 59 golf destinations were rated according to the 8 elements of the brand evaluation according to ISO 20671. From 15 July to 15 August 2018, 200 golfers from all over the D-A-CH region took part in the survey. The results are reviewed in the Brand Strength Score and the Brand Value Rating.

Perfect Eagle und European Brand Institute präsentieren heuer die Ergebnisse der ersten umfassenden Markenstudie im Golfbereich, der European Golf Brand Study!

 

Im Rahmen einer anonymisierten online Umfrage wurden 75 Golfbrands in 5 verschiedenen Kategorien unterteilt und nach den 8 Elementen der Marken Evaluierung nach ISO 20671 bewertet. Die Ergebnisse der European Golf Brand Study listen die TOP 10 Brands in folgenden Kategorien auf: Bekleidung, Golfbälle, Golfschläger, Schuhe und Trolleys.

Der von EBI erstellte Fragenkatalog basiert auf dem neuesten Standard ISO 20671 für Marken Evaluierung. Im Zeitraum von 15. Juli bis 15. August 2018 nahmen 250 GolferInnen in der gesamten D-A-CH Region an der Umfrage teil.

 

In den Ergebnissen befinden sich (Golf-) Markengrößen unter den Spitzenreitern, die ihre Marke erfolgreich mit Qualität und Innovation kennzeichnen. Unter anderen setzen sich skandinavische Labels, wie J.Lindeberg und Galvin Green, durch und machen Marken wie Titleist, Callaway, und Adidas K.

Perfect Eagle and European Brand Institute present the results of the first  brand study in the golf sector, the European Golf Brand Study!

 

In an anonymous online survey, 75 golf brands were divided and rated according to the 8 elements of brand evaluation ISO 20671 in 5 different categories. The results of the European Golf Brand Study list the TOP 10 brands in the following categories: clothing, golf balls, golf clubs, shoes and trolleys.

The questionnaire prepared by EBI is based on the latest standard ISO 20671 for brand evaluation. Between July 15 and August 15, 2018, 250 golfers from all over the D-A-CH region took part in the survey.

 

In the results, (golf-) megabrands such as Titleist, Callaway, and Adidas are among the front runners which have successfully distinguished their brand with quality and innovation. But also Scandinavian labels such as J.Lindeberg and Galvin Green were able to prevail and compete for the Top 3.

Die Österreichische Markenwert Studie (ÖMWS) ermittelt aus dem "trend TOP500" jene heimischen Unternehmensmarken, die sich zu mehr als 45% in österreichischem Eigentum befinden. Die ausgewählten Markenunternehmen werden anhand der Kriterien Branche, Markenstärke, Trendentwicklung, Markenpotenzial und Umsatz nach den letztgültigen Standards bewertet. Veröffentlicht werden die TOP 10 Österreichischen Marken; die Analysen werden anhand von über 180 Österreichischen Markenunternehmen in 16 Branchensegmenten im Rahmen der Studie durchgeführt.
